Generally a rather pleasant person to interact with, Khaidai navigates social situations with the confidence of a seasoned performer that thrives on attention. Having grown up in a nomadic tribe, working together with others comes to him quite naturally, and he doesn’t enjoy spending long periods of time completely on his own — even if he, too, needs some alone time every now and then. While polite small talk is what most of his quick interactions tend to be, the topic of dance and music will instantly ignite a flame of passion that gets him more talkative and invested in the conversation. His love for music and all the ways people interact with it is certainly his most defining characteristic, and he’s very outspoken about his admiration for such arts.Because of his politeness and manners perceived as mild at best, it may come as a surprise to hear Khaidai used to be rather infamous among the other Xaela of the Azim Steppe: an excellent fighter for someone his size, Khaidai was known for his borderline berserk rage when he entered a battlefield. There is an intense — and sometimes fearsome — drive to him that surfaces when things are dire or he must fight for his life, but since leaving his home, he’s been doing a great job at controlling both his body and mind lest they cloud his better judgement. Khaidai does have a competitive streak to him, but he’s generally conflict avoidant, and tends to leave situations that might bring out the worst of him. Nevertheless, Khaidai is still a proud Steppe warrior: he never says no to a challenge, and there is honour to be had from the scars gained in battles.

Khaidai has a very calm and non-judgemental approach on other people, and getting along with him is usually very easy. He travels often in order to see and learn more dancing styles Eorzea has to offer, but he often visits Kugane to meet some of his old friends and acquaintances. Recently, he has also become affiliated with the Found Family Centre.

QALLI TRIBE & AZIM STEPPE If your character also hails from the Qalli tribe, chances are they know — or at least are aware of — each other. Likewise he tends to inhabit places where he wishes to find work in, or where he has been performing in the past.COOKING Though merely a hobbyist, Khaidai has learned the joys of cooking at the Culinarians' Guild in Limsa Lominsa. He tends to visit the place whenever he has free time from his other duties, and he loves cooking for people. Perhaps, if you ever happen to be in the same adventuring party as him, you get a taste of his cooking while sitting by the campfire.

FIRST IMPRESSION DETAILS THAT MIGHT STAND OUT Short height, androgynous appearance & voice, wide eyes, heavy lower lip, long scar across his stomach (when visible)

From his short height to the shape of his horns, Khaidai is easily mistaken for a woman due to the sexual dimorphism of his race. However, while he enjoys blurring the lines between masculine and feminine, Khaidai wishes to be perceived as a man in spite of his appearance.Khaidai is 146cm in height, with a lithe but distinctively toned body with visible muscle on his arms, feet, back and midriff. His skin is light with warm yellow undertone, and he has a long, light scar going over his midriff that he typically covers with makeup during performances. He moves and gestures with the ease of a seasoned dancer, with a presence that doesn’t demand attention, but often attracts it regardless.He has short, purple hair with magenta highlights. His eyes are large, and reflect the colour scheme of his hair with a purple right eye and magenta left eye. His irises are framed by his bright pink limbal rights, giving a faint glow in the dark. Black scales with blue sheen cover most of his arms and feet, and are likewise visible on his face, neck, chest, back and hips as well. In place of ears he has dark horns with wing-like shape, accompanied by a pair of small horn nubs right above the larger pair. His tail is long and sleek with a spiked tip, and Khaidai often uses his tail to reflect how he’s currently feeling.
